Low Waters Hall in Hamilton was acquired from South Lanarkshire Council via Community Asset Transfer by the Low Waters Community Group in August 2023. The acquisition was a long and grueling passion project amongst many in the local area for over five years, until finally the transfer was made official. Our vision for Low Waters Hall is to restore the building to it's former glory, to work with our current partners, and welcome more along the way, as we strive towards creating a community center to be proud of.
Low Waters Community Hall is situated in Eliot Crescent in the south of Hamilton, just off the main road to Strathaven. The hall comprises of a main hall, meeting room, kitchen and toilets. The main hall is 120sqm in area and can accommodate up to 116 people in concert style seating or 66 for catered functions. The meeting room can accommodate up to 30 people. There is only on street parking at this hall. Customers and partners are asked to be respectful of the local residents rights of access when parking near the hall.
Whilst we have a large band of helpers and volunteers, our hall relies heavily on several key individuals for it's day to day operations.
This hardy band each have their own specialisms and expertise to help support the restoration and maintenance of our fantastic, up and coming community hub.
